CLTF

Design Resources Group Architects, AIA was required to complete extensive research and provide additional studies as the new CLTF will be located in an environmentally sensitive area.  This four phase complex is located in the on a 160 acre site in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. DRG was tasked with developing a master plan for the complex which included; upgrades to the county road system, utility infrastructure upgrades (including a 3-mile gas pipeline extension), site improvements (including retention/infiltration basins, a sewage lift station and parking areas).  The site also required its own fueling station and an Ordnance & Navigation Equipment Outfitting Building (BII).  The overall CLTF project is scheduled to be over 400,000 square feet of new building construction when completed.  The project components and phases for construction are as follows:

Phase I - 110,000 sf - Combined Support and Maintenance Shops (CSMS) and Distribution Facility. This new facility is needed to replace undersized and inefficient existing facilities.

Phase II - 89,000 sf - Unit Training and Equipment Site (UTES) and Basic Item Issue Facility.  This new facility will provide up to date diagnostic and repair equipment in a larger space designed for today’s military vehicles and other high tech apparatus.

Phase III - 127,000 sf  - Primary Training Facility (new building) needed to enhance and consolidate existing inadequate and remotely located training facilities; to combine the mission(s) of the 254th Training Regiment, located in Sea Girt, NJ, and the Battle Lab at Fort Dix, NJ.
