Hungerford Groundbreaking
On Wednesday, September 18th the NYCSCA President and CEO Lorraine Grillo along with Gordon Tung, SCA VP of Construction and Ben Goodman, SCA Community Relations Manager together with DRG Architects' CEO Hany Y. Salib, Principal TJ Margolin and Director of Design Victor Rodriguez, officially broke ground together in celebration of the start of construction for the Richard H. Hungerford School in Staten Island. The new school will educate 456 students with special needs ages 14 to 21. This school is the first of its kind, developed from the NYCSCA’s vision to have a school purposely designed from the ground up to meet the unique needs and challenges required for students with special needs and disabilities in a nurturing, supportive environment.
