Position: Senior Design Manager

Job Duties:  

Manage resources within a project and meeting cash flow budgets and program.

Analyze the requirements of a client brief and formulate a project design brief.

Regularly update the design brief and be responsible for delivering design services in 

accordance with that brief.

Prepare freehand sketches to design and prepare design documentation for all stages of a project.

Prepare the total presentation package (including design drawings, rendering, and 3D images) to clients, consultants, or other external parties.

Assess site conditions, the neighboring areas, environmental factors, and existing facilities establish a site’s potential and limitations.

Prepare preliminary project evaluations and programs.

Assess applicable codes, regulations, and legislation relative to the project.

Conduct and take minutes for client /consultant meetings with an understanding of client and consultant responsibilities.

Competently train other staff.

Coordinate the design documentation of a project with an understanding of the technical requirements of buildings.

Prepare and coordinate design reviews.

Prepare technical design details for building components, systems, finishes and fittings.

Competently use current office, design, documentation, and project management software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Microsoft, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, etc.

Minimum Requirements:  Requires a B.SC. Degree in Architectural Engineering or Architecture (or foreign equivalent), plus 60 months experience in the job offered, as an Architecture Designer, or in a related occupation. 

Requires education, training, or experience in the following skills: Free hand sketch; Revit, Lumion, AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign; Architectural competition with records of winning some projects through competitions; Construction documents and detailing; Construction specifications, building materials and latest building system.

Requires travel to NY, NJ, Philadelphia (10% of time).

Full Time Position: 40 Hours/week
